In a meaningful effort to promote oral health and hygiene, the Leo Club of Kathmandu Budigandaki, in collaboration with VG Foundation, successfully organized a dental health camp at the Orphan Child Protection and Foster Nepal (OCPFN) located in Tokha, Kathmandu.
OCPFN is home to around 70 orphaned children, all of whom actively participated in the camp. The initiative also extended its services to the local residents of the surrounding area, ensuring broader community impact. The primary objective of the camp was to raise awareness about dental hygiene and provide basic oral health screening to those with limited access to such services.
During the camp, professional medical staff conducted thorough dental check-ups, identifying common dental issues and offering practical guidance on maintaining proper oral hygiene. The medical team was arranged and managed by the Leo Club of Kathmandu Budigandaki, whose dedicated involvement ensured the smooth and effective execution of the program.
As part of the initiative, each participant was provided with a Sensodyne toothbrush and a Sensodyne Fresh Mint toothpaste following their screening. This distribution aimed to encourage healthy daily dental care habits and reinforce the importance of preventive oral health practices among children and community members alike.
VExpressing its gratitude, VG Foundation extended heartfelt appreciation to the Leo Club of Kathmandu Budigandaki for their leadership and coordination, as well as to the medical professionals and volunteers whose time and expertise made the camp successful. The foundation also acknowledged the support and cooperation of OCPFN, whose involvement played a vital role in reaching the children and ensuring the effectiveness of the program.
