Krishna Majhi, 33, and his sister Parwati Majhi have been blind since birth. Due to their condition, they have struggled to achieve financial independence. Previously, they earned Rs. 300 per day by making fish nets, but the local fishing business has declined due to hydro projects, leaving them unemployed. A few years ago, they received training in both manual and machine-based dhoop production but lacked the funds to purchase the necessary equipment.
Upon learning of their situation, VG Foundation provided them with a manual agarbatti making machine and the raw materials needed to help start their business. The machine was handed over to their brother, Mr. Sujan Majhi, to support Krishna and Parwati Mahji
