A Blind Woman Supports her Children by Singing in the Streets in Myagdi

Sushmita Bika who is blind also suffers from heart and uterus problems. She earns 700 rupees per day by singing in the streets of Jaljala Rural municipality in Parbat, Beni renting speakers to amplify her voice. Sushmita has four daughters and one son. Her husband, who is also blind, has gone to Pokhara to earn money. To help alleviate her burden, VG Foundation donated food supplies and warm clothes to Sushmita and her children.
