From Awareness to Action: VG Foundation Supports Vulnerable Household in Dang

01 March 2026

VG Foundation has provided emergency relief assistance to a financially distressed family residing in Naryanpur–Dikhpur Village, Dang.

The family consists of a father and his three minor children: Dikshya (6 years), Kritika (4 years), and Chandan (3 years). The father, who works as a daily wage laborer, is the sole provider for the household. Due to his limited skills and employment opportunities, he struggles to secure consistent income to meet the family’s basic necessities.

The family is currently staying in a house that had been empty in the village for several years. They do not have proper bedding or other essential household items. After the children’s mother left the family and moved to India with another person, the father has been taking care of the children alone. Despite being only six years old, the eldest daughter helps by cooking meals for the family.

The children have expressed their desire to attend school. However, due to the family’s poor financial condition, they are currently unable to afford educational expenses. They shared that they hope to join school in the future with the support of the local community and if their mother returns home.

The news was identified through Nabin Khabar which is active on Facebook page. In response, VG Foundation extended support in the form of daily food supplies and 5 warm blankets worth NPR 20,000 to support the family’s immediate needs and to protect them from the cold season.

VG Foundation sincerely thanks Mr. Prabin Acharya, Branch Manager of NIC Asia Bank, Dang Ghorahi Branch, for coordinating and handing over the relief materials to the family. The Foundation also appreciates Nabin khabar and Jitendra Shah for sharing and covering this news on his Facebook page.
